We turn theses into books that are read outside the academy, and we publish original works. Every book is published with an imprint, ISBN and Crossref DOI.

Editorial Docentes 2.0 is the imprint of Grupo Docentes 2.0, which also runs a peer-reviewed journal, an international conference and an Ibero-American award.

Research that nobody reads transforms nothing. Thousands of rigorous theses end up each year in repositories almost nobody visits, while the teachers who could apply those findings never get to know them. This imprint exists to close that distance.

We are not a printer or a self-publishing service: we select, evaluate and editorially support every book we publish. The book was the format this ecosystem was missing, and we add it with the same criteria as the rest: prior evaluation, a transparent process and respect for authorship.

That a piece of research stops being an archived document and becomes a book someone reads, cites and applies in their classroom.
The craft

Four typesetting decisions from a published book. They are not ornaments: they are the difference between a file and a book.

Every chapter starts where you can see it
Every chapter starts where you can see itThe reader always knows where an idea begins and can go back to it. The epigraph and the opening question tell them, before going in, what the chapter is about and whether it interests them.
Figures can be cited
Figures can be citedEvery figure carries a number, a caption and a source. That way another researcher can cite it and the author keeps authorship of what they made. An image without a source is no use for any of that.
The book exists for catalogues
The book exists for cataloguesISBN, legal deposit, DOI and licence. That is what lets the book be found, cited and indexed. For the author, the difference between sharing a file and having a published work.

We do not publish typeset theses. We publish books born from a thesis.
