Privacy and data use
What data we collect, what we use it for, and how you can request its deletion.
This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version is the text that governs, and this translation is pending review by the editorial direction (see D4 of the bilingual specification) before being announced as final.
Reading and downloading require no data
Most of our books are open access. You can read them online and download them without registering, without leaving your email, and without creating an account. We do not make access to the content conditional on handing over personal data.
What data we collect
We only collect an email address when you voluntarily subscribe to notices of new publications, by checking the consent box. We record the email, the date, and the page from which you subscribed. Nothing else.
To know how many people read each book, we use only aggregate download counts, never linked to identified people.
What we use it for
- To send you notices of new publications from the press, which is what you subscribed to.
We do not use your data for any other purpose, we do not build profiles, and we do not share or sell it to third parties. An email given for one purpose is not reused for another.
How long we keep it
We keep your email while you remain subscribed. If you request to unsubscribe, we remove it from the list within 30 days at most. If the newsletter is discontinued, we delete all associated records.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and stop receiving communications, by writing to [email protected]. We will handle your request without making it conditional on anything in return.
Author data
The professional information of published authors (name, academic credential, affiliation, ORCID, biography, and photograph) is part of the book and its bibliographic record, and is published with their consent as part of the editorial process.

Minors
The newsletter subscription is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we detect one, we delete it.
Currency of this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date. Changes that affect purposes or retention periods will be communicated to subscribed people.
